Disabled to suffer under the Vogon

A document leaked to me informs the local district councils that they will no longer receive top up grants from the County Council for Disabled Facilities Awards.

As Maggie Thatcher once said - "this gives people a greater incentive to do something to help their position".

On the planet Vogon wheelchair bound beings can grow back legs and arms. Only the lazy desist.

  1. Speaking as someone who is about to make the transition from "hard working taxpayer" to "workshy parasitical sinner" courtesy of Big Dave "The Mad Axeman" Cameron, I should be able to derive a shred of consolation from the fact that at least I'm able bodied. But I still have that inconvenient thing called a conscience, and knowing that this petty, vindictive and wholly unnecessary persecution of people who have no bloody choice about whether they're disabled or not is going on *as well* (when one might think that getting rid of a member of the bloated public sector such as me might enable resources to be redirected to such people), makes it even more of a bitter pill to swallow.

  2. The most unkindest cut of all. "Proud of our past, ambitious for our future." Really?

  3. Well, they say "our", not "your".
