Smoking outside the main door of County Hall by staff and visitors has always been severely frowned upon.
A few weeks back we are told Kay Cutts new tax payer paid political advisor (i.e. a member of council staff) was caught smoking out side the main door. When Cutts was confronted on this she is alleged to have said.
“He can smoke where he likes”.

Not sure if you received my e-mail, but the upshot of it is that it is not he who is the pet, but she.
ReplyDeleteI heard a rumour that the young whippersnapper to whom you refer has apparently been shipped in by Tory central to oversee the Conservative group to make sure that they don't do anything silly before the General Election, and, effectively, run the County Council.
In the meantime, it is alleged that he attends many meetings with officers 'on behalf' of Kay Cutts to 'tell them what she thinks'.
Given that she's usually in County Hall from 9-5, then perhaps this is the reason why Kay Cutts has got so much time on her hands to be removing coloured glass windows and ordering posters to be taken down instead of *shock horror* leading the council.
